“The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.” (Psalm 19:9)
When the Lord speaks, impressing us through His written and revealed Word, we should respond to Him as teachable—able and willing to be taught, able, and willing to learn. A willing heart and teachable spirit denote humility, and humility is what we must have to respond to judgment included in any word from the Lord: Either we are judged “blessed,” on the obedience side, or we receive the judgment (rule, verdict) of something other than blessed, a result of something other than obedience.
